Long block replacement 3516B

After a catastrophic failure the cylinder block and crankshaft of the 3516B generator set onboard of TELFORD 31 had to be replaced.

The availability of class certified crankshaft etc. was limited but Diesel Power made one overhauled long-block available via a partner and did the installation together with customer supplied riggers and owners representatives in a very good atmosphere.

The engine was completed onboard and load tested before the sea-trails took place.

All was done in close cooperation with ABS in Netherlands and Dubai and signed for approval.
